Before and After School Club

Before and After School Club flyer

Throughout the year there is the Before and After school Club.  This has up to 60 places each morning and evening for children whose parents require childcare.   It is run by school staff for working parents or parents who are studying. Places must be booked in advance and there is a fee for each session. Please see the school office for more information.

ICT club

This runs at lunchtime and children can use the computers to help them with homework, research or just to access ICT.   Priority is given to those children who have limited or no access to the internet or ICT at home.

Walk To School

Greenholm is taking part in the Living Streets Walk to School Challenge.

Walking to school means:

  • Happier Children

It’s been proven that children who do some form of exercise, especially a walk before school, do better in class because they arrive refreshed, fit and ready to learn.

  • Less Congestion

During morning peak traffic times, one in five cars on the road are taking children school, contributing to congestion, air pollution and carbon emissions.

  • Cleaner Air

The school run alone is responsible for generating half a million tonnes of CO2 per year (which is more than some small countries!). Imagine what we could achieve if we began converting some of these rides to strides?

A competition was launched to design the badges we could win next year. The theme is ‘Wonders of the World’ - Be big, bold and colorful!

WOW badges are only 3cm, so simple designs without people or small details in them work best!

Trademarks, logos, images of Strider will not qualify for the competition.

Winning designs will be digitally recreated, so pupils can use pencil, crayons or pens.

The deadline for entries is Friday 6th March.
